Our Senior School Notices Sites are updated every week of term time. If you have a question that isn't answered here please contact the Senior Office on senioroffice@britishschoolmuscat.com.
All performers (dancers, actors, singers and musicians) are required to be on site for 5.15pm on both evenings (23 and 24 June) for a prompt 6pm start. The programme is the same for both evenings, therefore all performers will be required on both nights please.
The event will be a full scale, collaborative performance, featuring the wonderful work that our Year 1 - Year 13 students have produced within lessons, for examination coursework and also as part of their extra curricular Music and Dance clubs.
This will involve all students who are part of the following groups- BTEC Dance, Dance Leaders (Yr10), all primary Dance Clubs from Year 1-Year 6, Breakdance Club, BTEC Music, Wind Band, Ukulele Club, Big Band, Junior, Intermediate and Senior Choirs, as well as individuals who have specifically been invited to perform.
In final preparation for what promises to be a fantastic show, please find detailed arrangements for dancers here.
We look forward to seeing you at the event and thank you for your continued support this year. Please contact bamforthk@britishschoolmuscat.com or anthonyd@britishschoolmuscat.com if you have concerns or questions regarding any of the above.
Kindly note that parking is available at the top and bottom of the school.
Tickets have now sold out. There are a few 'emergency' tickets at the main reception for parents who haven't got theirs yet.
The Leavers’ Prom is just around the corner. This is a special event organised by students to celebrate their achievements and have a memorable night with their friends.
Please find here the information about how to access Summer Examination Results, should your child have sat formal examinations this year .
Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 final year reports will be available to view via the Parent Portal on 29 June from 2pm onwards.
Lost property has been set out in the entrance of the Sports Halls. Please encourage your children to have a look, or pop by yourself (after 4:20pm) to see if you recognise any items that you might be missing. We will be donating any unclaimed items to charity at the end of this term.
School dismissal will begin at 11:30 am (EYFS/KS1) and conclude at 12pm. Please click here to ensure you are aware of the appropriate pick up time and location.
As usual, we are inviting all students to come in non uniform. There is no theme, and no collection of money, it is simply a mini-celebration to mark the last day of term. Please be aware that, for site safety, students should wear closed shoes. Also, kindly note that our policy regarding jewellery remains in place and your children should not wear items which are not appropriate for school.
If you do plan to leave us (we will be very sad to see you go if this is the case) please ensure you complete the formal exit process, which can be found on our website.

The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology have notified us that transporting students to and from school in private vehicles for a fee is not permitted under the Land Transport Law and the School Transport Regulations in the Sultanate of Oman.
In light of this, we kindly ask for your cooperation in ensuring that only approved and authorised transport arrangements are used for your children.
Senior School students should be dropped and collected from the following locations (unless they have Primary School siblings or are walking to/from school):
Morning drop off: Bottom of school
End of school day: Top car park*
After activities: Top car park
*If a student is walking home from the Senior School, then they can leave via either the top or the bottom gate, however they must walk all the way home and not be picked up outside of school, as this adds to the congestion.
Please remember, only students in the Senior School who are walking home will be permitted to leave via the bottom car park exit. If your child is being picked up by car and does not have primary school siblings, you will need to use the top car park for pick-up arrangements.
Please can we ask that parents arriving to collect children in the top car park for a 2pm pick-up, do not arrive before 1:45pm. This is to allow our Primary School parents enough time to collect their Y1 and Y2 children safely. Thank you.
Please see our BSM WhatsApp Groups Document for all the links. Please read the code of conduct carefully before joining any BSM WhatsApp groups.
Please have a look at our Senior School Quick Start Guide to see information and links for all parents. This includes key contact details, where to collect your children and much more.
All BSM school uniform can now be bought from ZAKS.

Week A or B? Please check the calendar on the website. Each week has an A or B to denote which week is which in the Senior School.
If you are missing an email from school, please check we have your details correct on our Parent Portal.
We are aware of a few problems with our emails not being received by parents, particularly for Yahoo and Hotmail addresses. To help our emails make it to your inbox we would recommend the following:
Gmail users - emails sometimes go into the 'promotions' tab and occasionally 'spam'. Please check both these folders. To correct, you can just drag and drop one such message to the 'Primary' mailbox and click Yes on the confirmation box for all future messages.
Yahoo & Hotmail users - emails sent to a group (such as a class or year group) are often filtered out as spam by Yahoo and Hotmail. You can avoid this by adding the email addresses below to your contacts. Please also consider providing us with an alternative email address to contact you.
ALL users: Please add the following email addresses to your contacts to ensure our emails get to your inbox:

On their day of a PE lesson, Senior School students should arrive at school wearing their PE kit. They must bring a school uniform to change into at the end of the lesson (to maintain their personal hygiene) unless the lesson is Period 5, in which case, students can go onto their ECA (if appropriate) or go home. Changing rooms will be locked so all personal belongings are safe; although after school, for ECAs, this may not be the case.
On a day when a student has a PE ECA but not a PE lesson, he/she must come to school in school uniform and change into PE kit, after school, in preparation for their activity.
Deodorant is acceptable, however, no glass containers are allowed and aerosol sprays are not permitted.
Here at BSM we recognise that food allergies are a serious concern. 1 in 50 children have an allergy to nuts with some having severe, life threatening reactions (Anaphylaxis). In order to protect our students with severe nut allergies, we have a no nut policy.
We ask that no nuts or nut products are brought into school. This includes:
Any type of nuts
Pesto
Peanut butter
Nutella
Nougat and Marzipan
Sesame seed rolls (we also have children severely allergic to sesame seeds)
Any food items containing nuts - Chocolates, cereal bars, cakes, biscuits etc.
Many thanks for your support with keeping our children safe.
Kind Regards
BSM Nurses
